We all go through challenging seasons, and it takes courage to ask for help during a difficult time. Finding an experienced therapist to provide counsel and support is often a helpful step in moving forward.  I have partnered with individuals, couples and families for over 13 years. If you or a loved one are struggling with depression, low self-worth, relationship problems, anxiety, anger, substance abuse, or trauma, please feel free to email or call for more information about therapy services.   I would like to help you move toward the change you are seeking for yourself, your family, or your loved one.

I focus on creating a therapeutic relationship that is collaborative, trusting, and encouraging. I utilize evidence-based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy while working with people as they face depression, relationship struggles, anxiety, trauma or substance abuse.  Evidence-based counseling helps couples and individuals find hope!

I live in Saint Joseph, MI with my husband and three children and joined Bright Hope Counseling Center in 2015 after relocating from Des Moines, IA.   Each person who enters my office is brave to ask for help and to trust me with their unique situation.  As a Christian I believe in the power of faith as well as knowledge and experienced counsel when searching for hope during difficult periods. No matter what your belief system, there is hope and healing when you take steps toward the changes you seek.  Make the step today and I wish you all the best.

I am encouraged by the opportunity to be a part of Bright Hope Counseling.  I have spent most of that time involved in the criminal justice system, supporting probationers, parolees, and juveniles in their journey to recovery. The path to recovery has been so different for each person, especially as it relates to my work with substance users and sex offenders. I have been impacted by the wounds of those who have struggled with sexual brokenness and a sense of hopelessness that has robbed them of their joy and their connection with God and others. By impact, I mean to say that my experience has challenged me to face my own brokenness and find a path to healing in coming alongside men and women who desire something different. I have thirty years of experience in the corporate world, mostly in financial management activities. I recently became a member of the Financial Therapy Association and am very interested in pursuing paths to healing with individuals and couples who desire greater understanding in how money issues impact our emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. I look forward to getting together with you to find purpose in pursuing hope and healing.
